1. Many different surgical techniques (not only those performed by this center
  2. Advantages and disadvantages of each technique
  3. The limitations of each procedure to obtain ideal results; At this point pictures should be shown of before and after each surgery including ideal and non-ideal results
  4. The inherent risks of each procedure, as well as the probable complications and the probabilities of those complications
These discussions prior to surgery should be clearly expressed in a special informed consent that the patient should read and understand perfectly.
In this way making sure that the patient has a realistic expectation.

Given the irreversibility of these surgeries, this consent must be given in time so that each patient can read it calmly and if any doubt arises, it can be resolved before proceeding.
These are the criteria that must be met for a sex reassignment surgery:
  1. Persistent gender dysphoria, well documented (2 independent evaluations)

Vaginoplasty + Clitoroplasty and Vulvoplasty / Penectomy Orchiectomy: The creation of a neovagina, labia and clitoris using the skin of the penis and scrotum, at the same time bilateral orchiectomy is performed.
The difference of the vast majority of techniques that only use this skin we are performing the technique described by Proffesor Sava Perovic of Serbia, which uses the mucosa of the urinary duct (urethral mucosa) to form the roof of the neovagina.
This modification of the usual technique gives it a much more natural appearance and a much greater sensitivity since being a natural mucosa it provides permanent lubrication to the neovagina.

It is a procedure that is performed in a single stage and where you can create the appearance of a penis which is functional to achieve urination while the patient is standing.
